Light Painting Transit

A beautiful streetcar is all. I will never tire of the look of the TTC my friends, soon I will be out there looking for the new ones. Need time for that. A late night out with the Nikon and a solid tripod I found myself looking for the streaky shots, you know the light painting thing. I mastered it.
Ok so I mastered it before with this amazing view on a bridge over the QEW. I need to find more of these to shoot, time permitting as I do have a day job and all.
Did you know that the light painting idea came from a movie called Koyaanisqatsi, yes I spelled that right. The movie was made in 1982 and in theaters by 1983. The film had a portion of it showing life moving at a very fast speed, cars were moving on a street setting very fast and all you could see was something similar to the picture above.
There you have it, thank you Google for helping me out on this one. The GIF above is taken right out of the movie. I guess when I took the other picture I was showing off my inner Koyaanisqatsi.
Going back to what I was saying, the TTC really shows how exciting it can look in motion when you catch it at just the right angle. Leaving you shutter open for just the right amount of time, and hopefully not getting into trouble from the TTC for taking pictures. Don't worry, the workers let it go once the realized I was just a photographer in love with this form of transportation.
