Casa Loma is one of my favourite castles in the world. Lucky for me it's current location is in Toronto. You can look at it in a light and happy way or a dark and depressing way. I see both, darklight comes to mind here. This shot was taken on the second floor overlooking the grand foyer. In reality it is all light and sun shiny happy, but that is not how I see it. I seen this in my mind and was able to capture its great darklight effect.
This piano sits on the second floor of Casa Loma, in one of the bedrooms. Hahahah, one of the many bedrooms. I managed to get the depth of field by chance. In other words I wasn't even trying and this happened. What I see is a bright room, just filled with sunshine. The piano is filled with darkness in the shadow. I can almost see a woman sitting there playing a very emotionally sad song, that could be her favourite song. The light is there, but no one sees it, just the emotional pain she may be feeling at the time many years ago.
In around the building when you look up there is these beautiful light fixtures, all of them are different from the next. You know that they have been there since people lived there. The lighting looks to be fixed up, but yet still stunning as I'm sure they were back in the day. You should see the sun room. The ceiling in there is just exceptionally beautiful. I go to Casa Loma at least once a year, as it is said to be haunted. I'm going to bring my E.M.F meter the next time I go and do some searching of my own, have not spotted or felt as ghost as of yet because it is all hear say of course.
