Rusty Halls In Buildings

These stairs have seen a lot, they are many years old. Just off of Dufferin Street near King Street, actually just south of there, there is this bridge which leads you over into the Exhibition grounds. Trains run underneath the bridge and these steps used to be where you could pick up the GO Train. I remember doing this when I was a kid and my Mom and I were headed home from going to the Ex. We were loaded up with our winnings from the games we played and tired from all the rides we went on. Moving on, this staircase is still there, hidden but findable. I squeezed through the fence and decided to get as many photos as I could. This was the best one. All the rust and the depth of field, oh and that chipped paint.
The dreaded hallway shot. Everyone does it, so naturally I had to do it, but with my twist. I was staying with someone at the Grand Hotel for a staycation. On one trip up to the roof for a smoke this caught my eye, and my lens. So glad I brought the beast (AKA, my Nikon). What you see here is a normal average hall, but it needed to look creepy. Here you have it, hallway, with creepy. It would be interesting to find out whether this Hotel is actually haunted.
Never miss a moment to catch the creepy, haunted shot. Casa Loma looks haunted no matter how you look at it. I would have to bring my pendulum with me one day and see if it gives me signals as to whether the building is covered in spiritual or supernatural activity. I could use my EMF reader as well, hmmm now I may need to make a trip there real soon. The shot above was taken to show that this building can look very massive and powerful. I mean from a distance it looks beautiful, it stands out from everything, and it always make you wonder what really happened there. I never get bored of visiting here, in fact I usually go at least once a year. Seems like that time is coming soon. Toronto is full of older buildings that I would love to photograph. Which is why I love Doors Open Toronto, it gives you the opportunity to go see things that you walk be everyday but never get the chance to photograph all the fine details.
