Going down the hallway at Don Mills Subway Station. This place looks pretty empty on a Saturday considering that it is near Fairview Mall. So out pops my smartphone, taking that picture y'all. I wanted to show this hallway with a twist, literally. That greenish colour is something that I have grown to love as of late, it gives the photograph a Darklight sanitarium look. Someday I'm hoping to visit an abandoned psych ward, we will see in the future. As for now, the TTC is getting all my love and attention, heck it usually gets all my love and attention. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't photograph the TTC. All I can say is Transit Love.
Convenience Store flowers. I did take this shot in the summer, I just couldn't help myself. The family that owns the convenience store on the corner near my house always has beautiful flowers to buy. Since I'm good friends with them they don't mind that I take pictures of their flowers, in fact they like to see what I do to the picture, so I show them after the edit is complete. I'm one for enjoying the water droplet, gives the picture some definition, showing it's realness. I don't think that I would ever buy these flowers though, I would rather see the plant alive and growing. This is what I love about spring and summer. So I take photos of them and I tattoo them on my body. They last longer that way.
OK so Back to that water fountains. My favourite. This shot was taken at The Atrium On Bay. That little mall beside the big mall (Eaton Centre), guess what? There is stores in there too. This fountain has been around for a while, but recently they renovated it. I guess for function, because it doesn't look much different. I love how the strands of water flow individually between each slot. What I did with it is give it a flowing effect, left the shutter open on my smartphone and flow happened, just like that. Appreciate these parts of the malls, because who knows how long we will have these pieces of art hanging around for us to look at.
