The website on this photo no longer exists. Who would even know where this picture was taken? Well Casa Loma is where it was taken my friends. They have a solarium in the building, which is beautiful, with water fountains and all. When you look up at the ceiling, there is this gorgeous mosaic window, which lets in the most beautiful lighting to the room. Every time I'm there a photo must be taken. In the above shot I wanted it to look like I was spinning in the room. In a sense I was spinning to get the photograph. Somehow it all worked out for the best.
Here we have an abandoned house near Bloor Street and Sherbourne Street. On the south east side just around a corner, there is a whole bunch of them, and I would not want to hang out there at night I must say. So I want with someone one day, as it's always a good idea to bring someone with you when you are going into dangerous areas in the city. Yes even Toronto has bad areas, tourists beware. As I approached this beautiful house I could see that no one lived there, the windows were boarded up and so much broken glass everywhere. I moved closer very slowly and got this shot you have here. I did take many shots of the area, but they were not what I was looking for. This one won. So I added a twist, literally, as it looks like there is a black hole in the wall of the house. Not really there.
I will never tire of the TTC, the streetcars have my heart. Too bad this isn't a Peter Witt streetcar, but the LRV will have to do. Here I was on the corner of Yonge Street and King Street waiting for this exact streaky light, or light painting kind of photograph. I think I took one hundred or so shots just to get the one I have here. I usually do that when I take the Nikon out for a walk. Taking more pictures than you intended is always better, because they all may not be what you are looking for. Then you will be editing and boom, there is your shot.
