Darklight Fears And Statues

This statue is very important to me. I was sad that Yorkdale Mall decided to move it outside. It used to be inside the mall near Eatons (or where the new food court is) with a fountain underneath it. I noticed that many malls are deciding to get rid of water fountains, probably due to maintenance of it. So this was something that I remember from my childhood, good memories of my Mom and Grandma taking me there to walk around and shop. We would always sit by this fountain, because my Mom knew how much I liked it, even as a child. Whenever we went to any mall, I would love to sit by the fountains and watch the water flow. I think that it was very easy to entertain me as a child, in fact it still doesn't take much to entertain me. Snuggles and good music would be great. I noticed after a major mall renovation that they had moved this beautiful statue outside, at least they didn't get rid of it. I walked down a hallway yesterday, heading to the washroom, and noticed that they had old pictures of what Yorkdale Mall used to look like, I'm glad they kept these. There is a photograph of my statue and where it had originally stood. Yay.
Next up we have the long hallway. This hallways is in University of Toronto Dentistry, through those doors is Oral Surgery. Eeek, just thinking about it gives me the creeps. When I was a teenager I had to walk down this hallway in a panic, I was getting all four wisdom teeth taken out, and this is how I saw the hall, dark. At least this is how I was feeling going down there. Mind you I pass this hallway more than enough times now and it doesn't bother me. I just wanted to re-create what I saw that day. In fact for many years now I have been wanting to do this shot, so on Friday I did it. Here it is, take it all in folks.
And then there is sunshine. Looking off of a friends balcony one evening the sun was setting and a beautiful photograph was emerging in my thoughts. This was it, a happy view of what I was seeing. Not every day is a bad day in my life, this day was a very good one. I needed to capture that, at the magic hour of course. Yet still I can see the Darklight there, it's within the shades of the buildings, if you look close. The light is leaving and the night was upon us.
