Unexpected Darklight

You never know where you will find that next image. It could creep right up on you and you have to stop to get the shot, because you may never see it again in this exact setting. Nothing is never the same no matter what you may think, it always changes. Above is a shot from under the Gardiner Expressway. One night  was walking around with the intent of finding the right night shot and this one just appeared. I wanted to show the idea of running into the area, as if you were trying to get to that opening, but you never really could get there. But maybe you can, you just have to go at it another way, which is usually the case.
This photograph is, or should I say was, an old restaurant near the Distillery District in Toronto. It looked so odd, because it was one of the only things sitting here. Still had that retro feel of a diner back in the day, late 1950's maybe. I'm not even sure if this restaurant is still there, I know they were doing construction around it, but I haven't been back in a while to see if the building still stands. The look burns an awesome image in my head, so much so that I will never forget it. I can picture people eating in this restaurant, like as if my mind went back in time to understand what I'm really seeing.
Finally we have this shot, taken about four or five years ago. Yonge-Dundas Square. The fountains were my original choice for the photo, but then the lovely woman walked by and she made the cut. Literally. Ok, I know I cut here head off in the top portion, that was intended. As I did not want to show who this woman is. However, I do thank you whoever you are, for being beautiful and being in the right place at the right time. Unexpected, is you best option here.
