Sun Reflection Light

Sun reflection, you can do so much with it. This light was shining off of another building to give this patchy lighting effect. I love it when this happens, it shows texture and depth of light, even better sunlight. This photo was taken just before the magic hour, so I didn't have that extreme warm light from the sun, but I did have the refection, which in some cases can act as the same thing. I do believe this shot was taken on a cold winter day, but there was just the right amount of sun, and I probably had the day off and all. This was taken on Front Street in Toronto, just east of Union Station, or just east of Bay Street.
Street signs make wonderful art, they usually have just the right amount of colour to stand out. No right hand turns, got it? This has magic hour written all over it. Looks like it was downtown somewhere, I'm not sure where. I probably looked up and boom, picture opp. If you see it, take the picture because you may never see that scene again. Landscapes change all the time, especially something you think may always be there, and boom it's gone, for example Sam The Record Man. Hello, landmark to a heck of a lot of people.
Boy am I glad I took photos of this place. I miss it dearly along with most of Toronto I'm sure. I do have a few more shots hanging around my computer, I should look for them and edit.
The above photograph was taken on Bloor Street just west of Bay Street. In Yorkville to be exact. I love it in Yorkville, I know it's a bit snobby and mostly rich people shop there, but I still like it. It would be the perfect place to live if you ask me, being downtown, but feeling safer. Very costly to live here I must say, so I think I need to win the lottery. The building had the sun shining on those windows like it was supposed to be there, and by angling the shot that way made sense. Grid like and simple, just modern. As you can see I love the downtown core of Toronto, one day I will live there.
